How to Thrive in Today’s Economy- Lesson 2: Co-operate by Creating your own Niche
Yossi Ghinsberg survived under the harshest of conditions in the Amazon jungle for 3 weeks on his own during the rainy season. He was given up for dead, there was no way a native person could have survived let along a gringo! Well Yossi survived and thrives today due to his experience out there in the jungles of the Amazon. Yossi’s exotic experience allowed him to become a creature of the jungle and because of this was able to learn from the forest the secrets of survival. We can take these lessons he learned and apply them to any situation in our life, no matter how bad, to ensure that we also survive and thrive.

Lesson 2: Co-operate by Creating your own Niche
Yossi became like another creature in the jungle and through those eyes he learned that in the jungle everybody thrives. There is plenty for everyone. The Amazon jungle makes up 4% of the planet yet holds 50% of the world’s species and no species goes hungry. That led Yossi to ask ‘How can this be so?’ How can 50% of the world’s species live in that area and thrive?’
It is because it is a true interdependent and interconnected ecosystem. There is no sense of separation, the greater good harmonises all. In the Amazon there is no competition but rather co-operation; this is why they thrive. We base our society on the limiting thought of competition. I must compete, fight for and tear down others to get what I want as there is not enough for me. Scarcity of resources is just an illusion, an illusion that drives us to take what we can for ourselves and trample all over our own species and all others in the process. Just stop to take a look at the world around you, it’s a cut- throat world with ‘me’ at the center of it, driving all actions.
There is harmonious abundance that exists on our planet. There is abundance for all to share. Co-operation therefore makes much better sense, we have no need to compete when there is ample for everyone. In the jungle species co-operate and thrive by bringing their own special quality to the ecosystem. Each species creates it’s own special niche. In doing this it fits perfectly into the jungle, it contributes and so it gets to share in the abundance. This is how it thrives. In it’s own special niche it does not have to compete.
Create your own niche and bring your strengths to life. Your uniqueness is the core of your strength it is not a weakness. Find your own unique gifts and share them with all, after all this is why you are here. This is the best strategy because then no-one can compete with you or be better than you, for you are unique. You need to find your niche and express what is so unique and special about you. Please don’t tell me there is nothing special about you to share. That is so bogus. You did not come here to hide yourself under a hole or remain slumped across a couch. You came here to contribute you for the betterment of all in your own unique way.
If you feel you have nothing worthwhile to share then you need to spend some time working on you, to find your special uniqueness, your niche. Humans are part of the ecosystem, yet we separate ourselves from it. It’s time for us to learn to specialize and co-operate so that not only we can thrive but all species can. There is unlimited abundance, there is enough for us all to share co-operatively and harmoniously.
Now more than ever we need to start working co-operatively so that we can all share in the unlimited abundance of the Universe. If you have just recently lost your job or house then get excited for you now have an opportunity to change that. Life has thrust you out of your comfort zone and is challenging you to find your niche and thrive. You must start with you. Take the time to work on yourself and discover what it is that is unique about you and what your niche is. It doesn’t matter what field you are in and how many others are doing it, you can create your own special niche and thrive. It’s all about finding your purpose, that is what you came here to do, that is your niche. When you live life on purpose, you thrive and so do the many others you impact as a result.
Find a community of people who are committed to helping you thrive in your niche. I’m so fortunate to have a business filled with people who I can turn to at any given moment for advice, support and inspiration. A community of people who want to share all they know about being successful and co-operate to make you just as successful.

How to Not only Survive but Thrive in Today’s Economic Times- Lesson 1 The Most Adaptable to Change will Survive
The current global economic situation constantly bombards us via the media throughout our day. News of corporation meltdowns, job losses and stock market collapses dominate our conversations. Everything is shrinking, people are hurting and times look grim. When you’ve lost your job or your house, survival doesn’t even look promising to you let alone thriving.
The truth is that everyone has the opportunity in each given moment to not only survive but to thrive. It is all in your mind, what you allow yourself to see and what choices you make as a result of that. No matter how bad the circumstances you are in you can choose to survive or you can become a victim.
We can take these lessons he learned and apply them to any situation in our life to ensure that we also survive and thrive.
(Due to the depth of content, these lessons will be presented over several blog posts each day)
Lesson 1: The Most Adaptable to Change will Survive
‘Survival of the fittest’ is a oft- misrepresented statement of Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution. It is not the strongest nor the fittest that will survive it is the most adaptable to change. Change is the one constant in our life. Life is always changing, in every moment comes change. It’s how we deal with this change that determines our future. It is easy to survive and thrive when you are present in each moment. There really is no change then, just the constant flow of what is and the adaptation to it.
People become so rigid in their thoughts and habits and are so resistant to change. These rules they set up can only lead towards unhappiness. Life can’t be compartmentalized and ordered to run in a certain way. It is a force that is constantly in motion and with motion comes change. What happens to you when life doesn’t follow your course and your rules don’t work? What do you do as a result: Fall apart, fall into depression, drugs, alcohol, or suicide?
Yossi didn’t die in the jungle he survived because he adapted to his environment. He became like the jungle. He knew nothing of surviving in the jungle, but he adapted. He looked at the reality of his life around him and he changed so that he could survive his current circumstances. His old rules didn’t work and he quickly shed them so that he could learn the new ones to survive and thrive.
In my own life I have always had great revere for the skill of adaptability. Not because I knowingly understood it’s meaning in relation to Yossi’s explanation although inherently I did. I’m a rare individual who loves change. I hate it when things always stay the same and my life will attest to this fact. I thrive on change and always crave it. It’s why I move from place to place, the eternal nomad. It’s been through my life experience of constant travel that I’ve totally understood the importance of adapatability and flexibility. I could be dropped in any country in the world and I could adapt to that way of life and survive. I know this because I’ve done it and I know how to let go of my old ways and quickly learn new ones. It’s the only way to survive in a new place. Writing this now I’ve finally understood why some people don’t want to travel, because they can’t adapt to the change! (AHA!)
I see so many people around me so unhappy because the rigid rules of their life are not working or being followed by others. They can’t go with the flow, just accept the newness of what is and adapt accordingly. Change is great, change is life. Accept it and embrace it. When you do you will begin to truly live in the now- the only place to live, the only place where life exists.
The current global situation has created massive changes for many people worldwide. Life is not working the way you planned, something has to change for you to evolve. When you evolve you thrive. Where is the world heading now? What can you do to adapt to the new world and to thrive in it? What are you missing because you are stuck in your old patterns of thought and behavior?
What will you do? Continue to have the same thought patterns, do the same things, blame the same circumstances. Or do you look at what the reality is now and instead of resisting it, adapt to it and do something different. There has never been a better time to adapt and so thrive.
How are you evolving?

Don’t stop Believing!
Don’t stop believing, hold onto that feeling…
What a great song for the week. I first heard this song only a couple of years ago when we moved to America. Every time we went out to a bar for the night, ‘Don’t stop Believing,’ by Journey was guaranteed to be played at least once. I never knew what it was but was amazed how it always had the power to stop everyone in the bar mid conversation to sing it with so much gusto and passion. I loved the magic of it. It wasn’t long before I too knew the words, stopped my conversation and belted out the lyrics passionately with everyone else.
I don’t get out much anymore but still when I do they’re still cranking it out and everyone is still singing along. It is a song from the early 80’s and is the most downloadable song on I-tunes. It still gets so much radio air-play and I love blasting it out when I’m driving.
I love the song’s energy and passion. It reminds me of good fun times and laughter with friends. It lifts me up and helps me to hold my dreams up high and to never stop believing in them and in myself. Even when the times in your life are tough- don’t stop believing and hold onto that amazing feeling of joy and peace that belief brings. It will pull you through and help you to enjoy the music of life!
Believe in your dreams and believe in you!

Are you a Victim or Are you Living on Purpose?
Attending the live conference in Puerto Rico last week and having the opportunity to learn from some of the most amazing speakers was truly life transformational for us. This is the fantastic community I currently find myself involved in. To be surrounded by empowering and uplifting people for the week has left us floating on air. The messages I learned will stay with me forever; there is no price that can be placed upon such knowledge and power.
An absolute peace surrounds me each day now. I’m steady and sure of the path I walk upon. I’ve walked away from Puerto Rico with amore expansive heart and vision. Much of this I owe to Yossi Ghinsberg, the most riveting storyteller I’ve ever had the joy of being mesmerized by. There were over 1,000 listeners in the room and I’ve never felt such a deep, entranced silence before in my life. Every word he spoke was absorbed with deep impact by each listener.

Yossi survived a harrowing ordeal in the Amazon jungle. He was lost for 3 weeks on his own and from that he has such an empowering message of overcoming adversity. Through his ordeal Yossi learned that being a victim is a state of mind, and survival a choice.
‘Adversity is a part of life, no one can avoid it. A victim is a matter of choice.’
Yossi experienced tremendous pain whilst he was in the jungle but he did not allow this to defeat him. At times he crawled upon his hands and knees dragging himself forward just to keep moving. When he was almost defeated and could no longer move, he found a way to propel himself foward. He sat under a fire ant tree and shook it so that hundreds of fire ants fell down on his body and set it alight with pain. The pain was so intense yet it helped him to feel so alive, to recognize his purpose was to survive and so keep moving. He understood that pain is just a sensation and that pain saves your life. You cannot avoid pain, it’s part of life. The suffering is in the mind. If the mind wouldn’t scream then pain would just be pain.
Yossi had a purpose- to survive. It was this purpose that gave all his sacrifice and suffering meaning. When you serve your purpose the feeling of pain is rewarding. When you don’t have a purpose you become a victim. When you don’t have a vision or dream or know for yourself what your purpose is you are in a very dangerous place. You live by the default purpose which is to avoid pain and gain pleasure. This makes you a victim on both sides as you’ll be miserable and unhappy through the pain or will be lead to being a victim again when the pleasure doesn’t last.
‘We are victims because life is kind. When life is harsh there is no time to complain. You do what needs to be done.’
A student I teach is a perfect example of this to me and is a shining light in this world. At the age of eleven he has faced more adversity than most of us will ever known. He lost is mother when he was only young, his father is not in the picture and he lives with his grandmother. He is a survivor of leukemia. Just recently he spoke out in front of the class and told us so bravely that the house he was living in was condemned and they have been forced out and are currently living in a hotel. His next words are ‘But that’s okay because now I get free cable and I’ve never had that before.’
His life has been harsh and he has no time to complain. Being a victim is a choice and he chooses to overcome his adversity with a smile and uses it to his advantage. He has a purpose: to allow life to live freely and be expressed through him. He is the most hard working, meticulous worker I’ve ever met. Everything is done to the best that he can. He is a kind and gentle spirit and life oozes from him so freely. In reality my student is my teacher.
How easy is life for you? See the answer to this question by how much you complain. If you complain a lot than life is not harsh enough and you have too much time on your hands. Do you know your purpose? What is life trying to express through you? This power is waiting to explode and be what it needs to be in order to expand and flourish. Your purpose doesn’t have to be big but you have to get out of your comfort zone and not live by the default of pain avoidance and pleasure gains. You don’t have to be a victim it is a choice.
I am so glad that Yossi lived through that ordeal in the jungle. Yossi chose life as a result and because of that is making a powerful difference in our world. He’ll never really know the impact he has had on my life but his words and gentle, kind spirit are imprinted in my heart. Yossi showed me and I’m sure many others how to breathe again. He taught me that I, my ego self, is so irrelevant. It’s the life inside of me that must be loved. It’s this life that needs to be preserved and expressed. Life expresses itself through you, it is not yours, and it’s this purpose that you must serve. When you realize this you are free, and when you become one with your purpose life oozes out of you, mountains move and walls collapse.
Survival and the ability to thrive is a choice. What choice will you make today?

Love or Fear? Which one are you Allowing to Driving your Life?
There are two driving forces in your life: love and fear. Love is your higher self. It is the place of pure intention and hope. When your higher self drives your life you are on purpose and empowered. Life surges through you, you thrive and society thrives because of it.
Fear, of course, is it’s opposite and it is your lower self. It is, unfortunately, the place from where the majority of us exist. When fear drives your life you stagnate and die. You don’t live your true purpose and you become dark and heavy and the world suffers as a result.
Who is the driver of your life? Who are you allowing it to be? How do you know? Most of the time you don’t, as you are totally unaware of what is controlling you and your victim circumstances. Ask yourself. Are you living your true passion and purpose? Does life course through your body allowing it to feel light and powerful?
If the answer is no, then you are allowing your lower self to control your life. It is a bitter pill to swallow but the truth is fear drives your life. ‘But fear is a good thing’, you say, ‘it protects me and keeps me safe.’ Fear does serve a very important purpose; to warn you when you are in physical danger and this is when we heed it’s call. At any other time, fear suffocates you and prevents you from knowing for yourself how beautiful you are and all you are capable of.
Fear once was the dominant driver in my life and I was dying inside because of it. Deep down I knew I was capable of more but my lower self was in control and I could just never allow myself to be. I had gone through my life dreaming of becoming a writer. Writing was always my silent passion. It was the form I took as a child to express myself. It was where I felt most safe and most recognized. I could safely express my thoughts, opnions and ideas without it being criticized or ignored.
My lower self, though was always the driver of my life. This was the part of me that believed I was worthless and had no ability whatsoever. It was never shy to tell me so either. I would write from my heart and it would say “That is crap Caroline! You cannot write. No-one will ever read your words or be inspired by them. Don’t be so ridiculous to think you can do this”
And so it went and I would put down my pen and give up on my dream. My lower self had me believe that it was just a far out wish; much similar to my one of being a rock star. That it would just never happen, and so I would forget about it.
But then my passion and love for it would fuel again and I’d write. My higher self was always there struggling to come out and be the driver. It was holding onto my dream for me and was tying to make it a reality- but it had so many obstacles to overcome first. For years my lower self dominated and nothing I tried could make it take a lessor role. I was dying inside and living such an incomplete and unfulfilled life beacuse of it. It was not living my life on purpose.
My higher self kept trying to surface and eventually led me to Beyond Freedom, a program that was to completely change my life. It allowed my lower self to finally recognize what my higher self always knew. That I was powerful beyond measure, that I was worth sharing with the world and that I could be, do and have anything I wanted. I could make a difference.
Beyond Freedom gave me the strength and courage to live my passion and make a difference. In just 90 days I went from hiding my writing in a journal ( I had never even shared it with my husband so ashamed I was of my thoughts and my pitiful writing ability.) to now being published across the net. I write a blog, have a weekly newsletter and am now going to start my own book. I regularly receive comments from my readers as to how my words uplift and inspire them. I am beginning to live my dream and my purpose.
I tell you this to impress upon you the absolute power there is in taking the time to work on yourself. You can move mountains and you can free your soul. You came here for a purpose and for most of us fear holds us back from being who we truly are. We don’t even notice this so habitual are our limiting thoughts, beliefs and actions. We need help to move aside those lower forces of fear and allow love to guide us into our purposeful future.
Now in my life when I reach a moment of decision or courage, I recognize so clearly the voice of fear telling me what I should do to become less. I did not know this voice before, it acted with me being so totally unaware of it. At times now the voice can get strong enough to almost make me follow it but the driver in my life has changed. I have moved beyond freedom into living a life on purpose. The fear is still there but I know how to control it. I know when to listen to it and when to use it. I know who to allow to be the driver of my life.
What is possible for you? What is your higher self asking you to do? What is your lower self squashing that it shouldn’t be? It will always remain squashed until you find a way to remove that fear and let love for yourself and all things be the greater power. If you are like most people reading this, you will close the browser and walk away doing nothing to help your higher self. You are driven by fear and it controls your life. It does not allow you to see what you are capable of.
Fear does not want you to take control because then fear will no longer have any strength or power. You need to know for yourself just how worthy and capable you are of living your true purpose. My mission is to help people become aware of their higer self and allow this to be the dominant driver in their life. I can help you to move Beyond Freedom, the choice is yours as to whether you will allow fear or love to drive your life.
Imagine the world if we were all driven by love and not fear?
Love is our higher being. With love all things are possible. With love we thrive.

This is a really cool song to brighten up your day. It’s all about opening up to a new day of happiness. Happiness is the thing that everybody searches for the most. Everyone craves happiness and pleasure. You don’t need to search for it or that is what you will continually get- the search. Happiness will continue to elude you. The happiness is in the now. You can be happy in any given moment- it is simply a choice.
So right now if you are feeling like you don’t have anything in your life helping you to choose happiness, I’ve now given you something- this song! Play it every time you feel a little off-key and off-balanced and it will straighten you up.
I’ve just arrived home from a fantastic 5 days in Puerto Rico. We went there for a sovereignty conference associated with our business. We heard some incredibly, empowering speakers who have created so much success and happiness in their lives. I can’t wait to post some blogs and pictures about our experience. We met so many entrepreneurs who have created so much wealth and happiness in their lives because of this amazing business.
What other opportunity out there gives you such empowering tools to grow as a successful person, live your life on purpose and create an income stream at the same time? I’m at home now buzzing with happiness for stepping up to the plate and putting my hand up and out for a better me and a live full of wealth and happiness.
‘The first thing that I want do
Make sure that you feel it too
So I’m not the only one
Now there’s not a single thing for me to frown about
And the same thing can happen to you
Smiling so hard my mouth look like a capital “U”
C’mon lift me up (its a brand new day)
Open up a lil happiness today
So I can be someone new
C’mon and lift me up (to a better way)
Open up a smile on another face
So I can (feel something new)
Open up some happiness
Open up some happiness
Open up some happiness’

Yoga is an intense form of exercise, which if done correctly brings to you many physical, spiritual and emotional benefits. There are numerous studies out there that will prove that people who practice yoga are calmer, more at peace and better able to deal with the challenges that arise in life. They also attain strength in body, balance and flexibility.

I have been practicing yoga for a short time and have already seen dramatic improvements in my flexibility, strength, balance and in my ability to connect to the source of my power. Yoga has taught me where to find the source of my power and how to use it to bring clarity, vision and purpose into my life.
The Power of your Core Strength
You core strength is your abdominal and back region. These are the muscles you engage and develop in order for you to develop strength and balance throughout your body. In yoga, your focus needs to be on engaging your core strength in order for you to complete many of the postures. This is the source of your power. If your core is strong you are better able to balance and hold your postures.
The power of your core radiates out through to the rest of your body. Yoga teaches you how to tap into and engage this power. It was when I started to use the power of my core that I noticed that it was my core that provided me the strength to do most everyday tasks. Focusing in on it, I could easily radiate that power out within my body to the areas I needed to perform the certain tasks.
It was as I started to learn this, and was able to see the strength of my core, that I could easily see how it was also the source of power for all things. I saw huge potential in my life when I could tap into this power. This is the power you need to be successful in all areas of your life not just physically.
Living through your core allows you to make pure and right decisions. Your head is far too logical and your heart is too emotional. Your gut will always speak to you in truth and perfect balance. This is why you’re always advised to ‘Listen to your gut.’ This is the part that connects to the true source of power right in the center of your being.
When you have a decision to make turn all your focus to your core- it will speak clearly to you as to what you have to do. It never lies, it is never wrong and you will feel the strength of your core decision radiating outwards to keep you balanced and strong.
When I operated from the place of my core, great things happen. Things fall into place perfectly with seemingly no effort on my behalf. My creativity opens up and my work is fueled by the strength and passion of my core.
Stretch a little Deeper Each Time
When you are doing a posture you must only move from the level that you are at. Stretch a little deeper so that you feel a slight challenging discomfort but never go to far so that you cause some damage. If you move at this pace, you will start to see continual and gradual improvements each week. You are not going to increase your flexibility to yogi status in one go- that’s wrought with much danger. Stretch a little deeper each time and you will arrive in a more peaceful, knowledgeable way.
When you are progressing to the actualization of your goals, take it steady. Stretch a little deeper each time so that you feel a little discomfort but not too much that it shatters you and puts you out of the game.
Use your Breath to Keep You Focused and Relaxed
To assist you in your poses you have to know how to breathe. When you pay attention to your breath, you notice that when a pose or posture becomes difficult, your breath sharpens, increases or disappears. You have to make sure you breathe evenly and deeply through each posture. This will help you to relax and settle into the posture. Your breath is the most important facet of any posture or anything in life- obviously, as long as you’re breathing you’re doing okay, right? During the difficult times of your life, the first step is to remember to breathe correctly. This will bring to you the clarity you need to relax, and the strength you need to reach a little further will follow.
Learn to Let Go
Yoga is all about learning to let go and experiencing your body. Experiencing your body will allow you to challenge it and take it to a whole new place. When you release yourself to the posture your whole body and mind will relax which will allow you to increase your flexibility and create a whole new flow of energy. I
In life, you have to learn to let go of everything you are holding. All your stresses, problems and stories. Just let them go and allow yourself to relax, gain strength and create a whole new flow of energy.
Yoga is such a beneficial form of exercise both for your mind and body. It will allow you to grow in strength, stability, flexibility and calmness of mind and spirit. Healthy mind and body equals a healthy life full of wealth and happiness.

‘Dream Catch me’ by Newton Faulkner is such a powerfully uplifting song to listen to. I instantly feel so alive and free when I listen to this song. It reminds me of who I am and where I’m going. The lyrics and energy of the song helps me to reconnect with my soul’s purpose and passion. It allows me to see that my dreams will always hold me up to a higher purpose and without them I’d fall. I’ve put the song to videos of my daughter which I think really express the lightness and freeness of the song. Children can so easily express who they are without any limitations. She helps to remind me to just love the fullness of life and to be who I truly am.
Where is the place that you go to when you’re alone? The place where you can be anyone you want to be and do anything you want to do. Who do you find in that silent space?
This is who you really are. Spend some time there appreciating you and allow to shine forth in everything you do and say. Stay connected to the true essence and beauty of you, that’s who you came here to be. You can be anyone you want and do anything you want. Dream big and believe in the power of it.
That’s where I’m going. Where are you going?
Close your eyes and know who you are. Hold you close and let your dreams catch you!

A New World Of Opportunity- for the Entrepreneurial Mind
We had the pleasure of visiting Boone Hall yesterday which is an old plantation home in Charleston. You may recognize it as it has been featured in various movies such as ‘North and South’ and my favorite ‘The Notebook.’
Boone Hall began as an indigo plantation and with the turn of each new owner it changed to a brick manufacturing plant and cotton plantation to the world’s largest pecan tree farm and now to agricultural and tourism. Each new owner saw the opportunity of his time and created significant wealth from it. They moved and adapted to the demands and waves of their eras. They had vision and foresight and so for over 300 years Boone Hall has been a productive and wealthy asset for its many owners.
As I was listening to the tour guide tell us the story of the how John Boone, the original owner, acquired the land to build his plantation, I thought about the incredible opportunity that lay before him and many others at that time. The ‘New World’ had not long been discovered and Government grants were handed out for land so that visionaries could help expand the empire. Wealth was there for the taking. You basically just had to put up your hand and dare to say “Yes, I’ll take it!”
You didn’t have to have a lot of wealth already or be someone knowledgeable or well-known. Anyone could venture into the New World as an unknown with virtually nothing and form that they could create millions and a legacy that could be passed down for generations. It was very similar in my own country when convicts who served their time were pardoned and granted acres of fertile land in order to help the colony expand and flourish.
My thoughts then switched to my time and how there are no ‘New World’s’ anymore where you can be basically given free land to create an empire with. Not if we just talk about land but in our world there is an abundance of opportunity that lies before each and everyone of us if we just open our eyes to see it and put our hand up to say “Yes, I’ll take it!”
Throughout history there have been waves of New World Opportunities that have created many wealthy people for generations to come. Agricultural, industrial, technological and today there is the informational age appearing. This is the New World of Opportunity and we are standing at the brink of it.
Our business is centered in the booming informational era- the New World Opportunity. Our products are all about education and empowering you to be a visionary leader of your life; fulfilling your purpose and destiny and creating wealth for yourself and your family for generations to come.
Those who have a vision and an entrepreneurial mind will understand the business opportunity that lies before them, as it did Boone over 300 years ago and will capitalize on it straight away. For others it may take longer or they will miss the boat altogether and wonder why there is no opportunity left for them in the world.
You don’t have to have any business skills or lots of money to claim a piece of the pie. It’s an even playing field and one you can create significant wins from. You can create a fortune from virtually nothing. Opportunity lies all around you. The question is first “Do you have enough vision to see it?’ and second “Do you have enough courage to seize it?” and lastly “Are you willing to work to grow it?”

On our trip down to Savannah last night I was able to reconnect with one of my greatest passions–music. I spent an hour being uplifted and inspired by some of my favorite tunes. It brought back to me some happy memories and made me feel so excited about my future. I realized I had spent far too long apart from it’s power.
Music is the most powerful source of positive energy on the Earth. It has the ability to fire up your soul and ignite your passions. It can take you away to a happy and beautiful place. I once heard the the quote ‘Without music life would be a mistake.‘ How true is this statement? Think of all the things you have done in your life (especially the momentous ones) or do daily. H0w often are these things centered on or surrounded by music?
Music has inspired me to dance on tables, body slam in a mosh pit and jump off stages. It’s kept me company on long journeys, helped me get through a tiring workday, pulled me up when I’m down and helped me to shed much needed tears. It’s entertained me at many concerts, festivals, ceremonies, parties, movies and sporting events all around the world. My wedding was filled with songs of love that connected Craig and I. Lullabies sung to my baby helped to calm her and put her to sleep. Music helps me to get silent, relax and connect to a much higher power. Wherever I’ve been and wherever I go music is always there helping to create a memorable experience for me.
A song can bring you back to a certain place or emotion in an instant. Jack Johnson brings me back to a hammock in Thailand watching a sunset, Tom Petty brings me back to when my husband and I first met and our wedding party, Bob Marley reminds me of my brother and U2 brings me back to fun times with my friends in London.
Music speaks to us on so many different levels. It can movtivate you, make you cry, make you love, inspire you , make you want to dance and make romance. It evokes so much passion, spirit and love. It empowers you to be great.
I encourage you to take an hour out of your day today to just play your favorite songs that fire up your soul and ignite your passions. Play the songs, dance, sing and let your soul loose and have some fun.
Each week I’ll be choosing an empowering and uplifting song to brighten your day and remind you how beautiful life is and how incredible you are! Put some of your recommendations for uplifting songs in the comment box below and we’ll try to get them posted.
