Living an Inspirational Life: The Secret to Happiness
Living an inspirational life is the secret to success and happiness. This is the key to living a fulfilling life. There is no other answer. You don’t have to go searching any longer for the secrets to a happy life and the steps to follow in order to do so. You don’t have to take the courses and uncover your limiting beliefs or even unravel the secrets of the Universal Laws you just have to get inspired. This is the place of power. It is unstoppable and all you have to do is to understand this and tap into the power of inspiration.
This has been a topic of thought for me for some time. This is what has inspired Craig and I to do what we are now doing with Wake Up With Caz and Craig. As for us, living an inspired life is what life is all about. This is the place where pure magic and joy happens.Living
an inspired life means living it on purpose and living life through the experience of joy, and enthusiasm.
For me I believe there are two ways to be pushed to live a better life. You can be motivated or you can be inspired.
Let’s look at the definition of motivation as told by dictionary.com : To provide with an incentive; move to action; impel, to stimulate toward action; induce, move, provoke, prompt, cause; a motivating force, stimulus, or influence
All these point to an external force pushing a person to reach for a reward or goal. Motivaton works but it’s the harder path and can be full of greater struggle; it’s less enjoyable and powerful. When you are motivated it means there is something from the outside pushing you. An external force of energy pushing you to be better. It might be a coach or a quote, a goal or a reward pushing you to change from the outside in. Motivating forces have too many variables. It’s too easy to forget them, to get sidetracked, overwhelmed or overtaken by other important issues or setbacks.
Let’s look at the definition of inspiration as told by dictionary.com: to guide or control by divine influence; to produce or arouse (a feeling, thought, etc; to fill with an animating, quickening, or exalting influence; to infuse (breath, life, etc.)
All these point to the same thing: to fill yourself with life (divine influence) to control or guide you. In other words- pure power of movement as it comes from within.
Inspiration is something that comes from the inside. It’s the energy that comes from within you that propels you forward. It’s energy in it’s purest force. When you become inspired you move; you move with joy and with freedom and purpose. All the great achievements in life have been created through the inspiration. That creator became inspired and so moved and with that power and created magnificent things.
For example, let’s look at the writing of my blog posts. I can write a post through the motivation to attract more readers and achieve my goals. When I sit down to write from this point of view and from this motivating power, I find it very difficult. I stop, start, get stuck and frustrated. Words don’t flow for me and it could take me days to finish a post. It often needs lots of editing and rewriting.
When I get inspired to write, I’m on fire. The ideas come from deep within me and they just flow with divine power. My mind races quicker than I can type. I don’t have to think about what to write it just flows and fits together perfectly. I don’t have to do much editing and I always get the best response from people with my inspired posts. True power that can’t get sidetracked or be stopped. Inspiration is the purest form of energy and power for creativity and change.
An inspired life means living full throttle. Experiencing life in all it’s flavors. It means livig life through the eyes and place of wonder, awe, enthusiasm, love, passion, joy, creativity and divine inspiration. It’s perfect energy; it is unstoppable energy.
How do I know this with such certainty? Because I’ve lived both sides of the coin. For years I lived an inspired life and
operated totally through those amazing emotions. I always lived from a place of enthusiasm, passion and joy. I was in awe of everything. A sunset, a tree, a beautiful beach, a new and friendly face,a piece of history, a song that I would sing with passion. When I lived my life from this place I was in the total flow of life and magic always happened for me.
The other side. I stopped being inspired. Other emotions took over and I allowed myself to live from these places instead- fear, doubt, ingratitude and indecision. I tried some motivating forces to change but couldn’t. I became stuck and wouldn’t move. I couldn’t figure out why. My questioning and searching led me to discover the truth of the matter- I stopped being inspired. I tried all the courses and self help books and mentors etc. I followed the Laws of Attraction and Universal Laws. They didn’t work for me because I was relying on motivation. It was not strong enough to move me. The problem was I was not being inspired. I knew how to do this but I stopped knowing it. I didn’t recognize that I had the answers. I instead looked elsewhere and tried to motivate myself to find the answers and get the results. I shut off from the inner, divine guidance that I always relied on to run my life perfectly.
Eckart Tolle discusses in ‘A New Earth’ that the highest forms of emotion that we should live our life from are enthusiasm and joy. If you are not living life from these emotions it does not matter how much you visualize, affirm and set goals, you are going to find your desired results a lot more difficult to obtain. It still works- absolutely but get in joy and enthusiasm and the river of life will flow abundantly and perfectly.
I’ve discovered the secret to a fulfilled life. And so now begins my inspired life round number 2: Passion, joy, enthusiasm and awe are back and life is so beautiful again. And now it is my mission to help inspire others because I know this is the most powerful force for change. It comes from the inside. It’s unstoppable energy.
Our mission with Wake up With Caz and Craig is to help you live an inspirational life. To help you tap into those feelings inside of you

Live Your Life so It’s a Story to Tell
In order to live the most fulfilled life, you have to live it and experience the many different joys of it. It’s so easy to get stuck just living the everyday mundane tasks. And the moments when life offers us the opportunity to experience something new we usually allow our conditioned thoughts of fear of failure and doubt to get in the way and keep us doing only what we know. This is known as the safe route, which at times is a beneficial route but not often if you want to live an exciting life.
I want to share with you a way of thinking or a philosophy that I have employed throughout my life. It works and it has allowed me to live a fulfilled life by trying many different things. It’s simply, ‘live your life so it’s a story to tell’. When you think like this, fear tends to take a back seat, and your a lot braver to try new and different things. It’s all the more exciting if you can share it with someone. It helps you to become an interesting person and it enables you to live your best life.
‘Live your life so it’s a story to tell’ has given me many experiences and as a result lots of insightful wisdom I can share with others. As someone who in their teenage years was very shy and felt I had nothing to contribute or talk about this was an essential philosophy for me to adopt to change the beliefs I had about myself and what I could offer. ‘Live your life so it’s a story to tell‘ has been a huge builder of courage for me. It helps to make me step up to the plate and just do it.As a result of this I’ve created stories of global adventures, dare-devil experiences, profitable investments, disastrous investments, entrepreneur activities, friendships spanning many countries, trying new foods, sports and activities and so on.
I’ve also found one of the most empowering things about this philosophy, is it helps you to get over those challenging times in your life. When things go wrong for me, I often think ‘Well I guess I’ve now got a story to tell.’ This is so empowering as it allows you to get over it. It helps you to understand the real version of the story is now over and you can move on to better things. It allows you to take something positive from the negative.
Enrich your life and make it rewarding. The next time your faced with a decision or an opportunity to do something a little different, out of the box or your comfort zone, take control of your fears and doubts by saying “Why not? At least it will be a story to tell!”

Time Management: The Key To Your Success
Managing time is a common complaint in people’s lives. It’s the reason so many people quit in their pursuit of wealth and happiness or why they don’t get started in the first place. Often it’s not the case of not having enough time but of not managing it effectively.
Everyone has the same number of hours everyday with many tasks that consume them. What are you choosing to consume your time? Is it the latest Gossip girl episode or hour long conversations to your friends. The key is to prioritize and to do the key tasks first that are going to move you closer to the achievement of your goals.
I’m currently committed to writing one article/content piece a day for the next 100 days and submitting them throughout the web. It is incredibly time consuming and I have to be very tight with my time management. Today I was struggling and as you see through the video I found 5 minutes in the car to create a quick piece of content.
If you are committed to your dreams and goals you will manage your time so you do what needs to be done. If you are committed you will find the time. You will find pockets of time here and there whilst doing your daily chores, to complete tasks that move you forward toward your goals.
As Yossi Ghinsberg says:
‘Dreams are not for sleeping, they should keep you awake at night.’

Mike Dillard is an internet marketing guru who earned 10 million dollars in the last 3 years. After years of struggling in network marketing he finally discovered the strategies that top marketers in their field were doing to earn multiple six figure incomes.
I’m currently learning these strategies right now and today I learned a very simple strategy from Mike that can help you to stay focused on your goals and achieve them. It doesn’t necessarily apply to just a network marketing business you can use this strategy for success in any area of your life.
Mike Dillard attributes a lot of his success to a technique he does consistently each day. Every evening before he goes to bed he lists the top 5 things that he needs to get done the next day to lead to the eventual achievement of his goal. What you write down of course will be related to the big picture, which is your big goal. You need to always have this in mind. The way to achieve these goals is through a process of smaller steps or tasks.
Think of your goal as your house, you build it brick by brick, small task by small task. Each day you are completing 5 tasks or 5 bricks. It might be talking to the person on the phone or writing a blogpost or starting a new ad campaign. This consistent activity will bring you results. At the end of a month you’ll have 150 bricks and then in a few months time the house will be finished. Your website will be built, your book finished and your income goals reached.
Only you know what time schedule you are on. You may still be working a full time job and so have limited time to get tasks done. So you have to be able to determine just how many tasks you will commit to completing the next day.Very simply all you need to do is before you go to bed each night write down 5 productive tasks you need to complete the next day. When it comes time to start these tasks the next day, make sure you focus on one task at a time until it is done. The key is to make sure you don’t go to bed before they are completed. This shows your commitment to your goals. When you get committed like this, the Universe stops and pays attention and then begins to help by bringing those goals to you at a faster rate.
Following this simple strategy daily will bring about incredible results in your life. It will propel you forward to the attainment of your goals at a rapid pace and help develop in you the qualities of a determined, committed leader and before you know it you could be earning multiple seven figures each year like Mike Dillard does.

It’s a whole Different Game of Basketball When you See an Opportunity and Act on It!
On Friday night we had tickets to watch the UNC Tar Heel, Men’s Basketball team (college) play their first game of the season. Team Makepeace are huge Carolina fans and so we always love a night out watching a game. Kalyra ( I mean Craig) is in the Carolina Kids’ club so we often get good deals on tickets.
For those of you who don’t know Micheal Jordan played for Carolina and it is the best team in the nation for College basketball having won the Championship last year. (And yes we did participate in Franklin Street fire jumping to celebrate in the victory. Hey you gotta live and try everything right? ) So Chapel Hill is always buzzing on game night, it’s a great place to be.
Well one of our dream goals is to live in Chapel Hill within walking distance to the college and have season tickets. So on Friday night we arrive right on drop ball time due to horrific Friday traffic. The usher tells us we can sit where we like but not in the roped off sections. We end up in the nosebleeds because we were late. Now the view’s not too bad but still the players are far away and it’s pretty squishy and stuffy.
After the first couple of plays I saw all these empty seats across from us right down below near courtside. We thought that maybe this was the roped off section. So we scanned the stadium, did a little research and saw some pink rope on some sections but not this one. We thought it was a little strange and wondered why they were so empty. After a short discussion we thought what the heck why not just do down there and see if we could get a seat. We only had our cramped up space to lose and we could easily find another one of those if rejected. It was so worth trying.
We walked around and saw reservation signs up for the sections we wanted to sit in and we saw ushers checking tickets. Craig just chose to give it a go and walked straight past the usher with me behind and low and behold the Universe opened it’s doors, the Usher turned his head and we walked down to seats only a couple of rows back from the Tar Heel boy’s bench, right in the Season Ticket Holder sections!
What a difference a change in seats and levels can make. It was a whole different experience for us. We were up close to the game and as a result experienced it as being so much more aggressive and fast then you experience on TV or in the nosebleeds. The energy was alive and pumping. We felt the intensity of the player’s determination to win, we could see all the other little sideline things that go on, the team meetings and so forth. The seats were bigger and more spacious. We were sitting in the section with all the UNC celebs and bigwigs and the place Jordan probably sits when he comes to watch a game. Kalyra got to meet Ramses, the sheep mascot, which she loved and made it so much more enjoyable for her.
We had a great time. Had we been still in the nosebleeds I probably would have wanted to go home early as I never would have experienced the same energy. We felt like it was where we belonged and we were so pumped after this. We just know that we are that much closer now to being real season ticket holders and experiencing every game from that place.
This whole experience got me thinking about how we ended up in those great seats and all those people who were around us originally, stayed watching the whole game from way up high in the nosebleeds. The answer is simple, we saw an opportunity and we seized it. There is no reason why all the other people couldn’t do the same thing. They were looking in the same direction as us and would have clearly seen all the empty seats below. They have the same legs as us and could have stood up and took some action to claim those seats. But instead they chose to remain in the lesser spot, probably either from fear of being told no or because they didn’t feel like they were worthy to sit anywhere else but far away from the action.
How many people go through life like this? Opportunities pass by everyone daily. Either we don’t see the opportunity or we see it but just don’t take the action to claim it either through fear or feelings of low self-worth. Taking the action to get those seats was easy for us. We really wanted it, and we took a bold step to get it. We didn’t let fear get in our way and we believed that we deserved to sit down there. And what happened the Universe magically opened up for us and gave as an incredible experience.
When you see the opportunity and take the action a whole different ball game becomes yours to experience. One that’s filled with action, intensity, energy, success, space, the best of the best, fun and a whole lot of slam dunking!
Let’s go Tar Heels let’s go! And we look pretty hot for another championship this year mind you!
Carpe Diem everyone! Seize the opportunities that come your way. You deserve it!

How to Thrive in Today’s Economy Part 5: Serve Life
On your quest for more in your life, you constantly are searching for answers to questions about things you just can’t seem to understand. Asking questions is an important part of your spiritual journey or personal growth. I always tell my students, if you want to learn you have to ask questions and good ones at that. If you’re not asking questions then you are not seeking the knowledge you need to learn and grow.
The next important step in the process is to keep your ears and eyes open to the answers. Most of the time you don’t know where they are coming from so you need to be prepared for when they arrive. For years, I have been trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together as to ‘What am I doing here? , ’How does life work?’, ‘Is there really something greater than us out there?’ and ‘Does this higher power really support us and have a purpose for us or do things just happen randomly?
I’m sure these questions run through all our minds at some time and we think we’re never going to find the answers and well most of the time we won’t. But as I said before as long as we’re asking the questions we’re moving closer to the answers. The answers sometimes will arrive when you are fully open and ready to hear them. The old saying goes ‘When the student is ready the teacher will appear’
Listening to Yossi Ghinberg’s story was quite a ride of growth and understanding for me but the full impact was to come when I heard how he eventually was rescued. I remember the moment crystal clear as it was when my world and the meaning of it became so evident. I felt myself open up to lightness, faith and a deep understanding of what life is all about.
Yossi, exhausted and in deep pain, was struggling to keep alive. He had heard the sound of a plane flying overhead and knew someone was searching for him. He had to find his way back to the river bank and get to a clearing so that he may be seen, as it was impossible for him be seen from the bottom of the thick jungle floor.
The plane flying ahead was his friend Kevin who had managed to make it back to a village and begged for help. Reluctantly someone agreed to fly a plane over the jungle to search for Yossi but of course nothing could be seen. Kevin though would not give up, he knew Yossi was alive and he had to find his friend. He pleaded with the villagers to take him upriver in a small motorized canoe to look for him. Of course, the villagers said no. They thought Kevin was crazy. ‘He’s dead,” they told him. It’s the rainy season, he is lost and he is a gringo. None of us could survive and we know this jungle” Kevin also didn’t have any money to pay for the fuel and this was a poor village.
Kevin though would not give up, he just knew Yossi was alive and kept persisting. Eventually one man decided to help Kevin. Who knows why, something inside of him drove him to help him, even though he too truly believed that Yossi was dead. 120 miles they travelled upstream. The driver kept wanting to turn around as it was getting too dangerous but Kevin kept pleading to continue, “Just one more bend, please, just one more bend”
Meanwhile Yossi had found a clearing near the river bank and made his way to it. He no longer heard the signs of the plane and defeated, he collapsed by the river bank just behind some small bushes. In his delirious and exhausted stated he heard a buzzing sound in his ears and thought it was those insects continuing to haunt him and so did not pay it much attention.
The driver of the boat finally told Kevin that was it, they had to turn back now, it was just far too dangerous. He pulled the boat up to the bend and began to turn it around. Kevin broke down into tears, he knew that all hope was gone, that his friend was dead. The boat turned and slowly began to make it’s way back home.
At that same instant, the persistent buzzing noise managed to snap Yossi out of his confused state and he realized what the sound was. The hum of a motorboat. He popped his head up over the reeds and saw Kevin in the boat, with his back to him, moving away. He was in shock and in such a bad state that he could not even yell out Kevin’s name and he just watched as his one hope of rescue moved away downstream. Then for some reason, Kevin turned his head for one last look in the jungle and in that turn saw Yossi’s head popping out over the reeds.
The tears streamed down my face, for in that very same instant my questions were answered and I understood the meaning of life and my heart opened up to the truth. That being that there is a power at work that is far greater than me. I don’t understand it but I don’t have to. All I need to know is that it’s there and it is serving a higher purpose and I’m a part of it and that is awesome. I am part of the perfect plan of the Universe. I serve a purpose just by being alive.
Life is perfect and everything that happens, happens perfectly whether we like it or not. It is all part of a plan that serves a greater purpose. Yossi’s rescue was not a fluke or a co-incidence. There was a greater power working here to put everything in place for that one turn of Kevin’s head and that one pop up of Yossi’s. Timed to absolute perfection.
Yossi’s rescue from the jungle has allowed him to use all he learned to change the lives of so many people and to make this world a better place. That is why he experienced those harrowing circumstances. He was strong enough to survive and wise enough to learn the lessons and then do something effective with them.
Because of Yossi I learned to give up the ‘me’ story. It’s not about me, my ego and all my ego wants. It’s about life and the higher purpose. Life serves life, and I am an instrument to help it grow. Life will support me and you to become more but you have to serve life. When you begin to live your life from this place amazing things will happen for you. You just have to trust in the perfection of everything that is happening in your life right now. It might not seem like that to you if you’ve just lost your house or job but it’s all part of serving your higher purpose.
In coming to this realization, my worries and problems seemed to fade away and get smaller. I was able to trust that something perfect was happening here and to let it go and soon that instant will come when I will be rescued and will be propelled into my destiny. The same goes for you. Just let it go and trust in the perfection of life. Remove yourself from the equation and recognize the life force that runs so powerfully through you. When you can open yourself up for this truth,, you allow this life to flow freely from you with such power. Things will get clear for you and come sharply into focus and you will know what you need to do to serve life.
Halfway through Yossi’s talk during the break I met him and he gave me a hug. I felt something so powerful in his embrace, something so warm, so peaceful and so loving. It stayed with me for so long and I couldn’t work out what it was until I had this aha moment. It was life that was coming out from him so powerfully. And life is warm, peaceful, loving, supportive and kind. It supports you, raises you up and allows you to live purposefully when you open up to it.

Thriving in Today’s Global Economy: Part 4 Serve others
Today’s blog is a continuation from the previous 3 blogs where I discuss the lessons that Yossi Ghinsberg learned through his harrowing experience lost alone in the Amazon jungle. Today we continue on with a profound experience he had which saved his life.

Click on the image above to order a copy of Yossi's book.
Yossi was in severe pain. His feet were torn to shreds, he survived off barely any food, and he was covered in painful insect bites. One night a flash flood arrived sweeping Yossi away. He survived and spent days crawling his way through mud and debris on his hands and knees as his feet would no longer carry him. One day when he could go no further he collapsed and begged for his life to be taken.
Somewhere in the middle of his anguished weeping he heard the cry of a woman and he turned and there beside him was a lady on all fours with her head in her hands weeping. Suddenly Yossi sprung into action picked the girl up and started pushing her forward. ‘You must keep going’, he would continue to shout at her for days. ‘We will find a way out but you must keep going.’ He encouraged her and supported her. He knew he had a life to save and in that greater purpose could keep going himself. It wasn’t about him, it was about helping the woman. And then just as suddenly as she came, she disappeared. It was only a day or two later that Yossi was rescued.
Yossi felt the presence of that woman as if she was truly there. In his mind he imagined her and she saved him because she gave him something else to live and work for. Yossi discovered two things through this experience:
1) When you give up on life, life doesn’t necessarily give up on you.
2)Our true power is revealed when we give it away. When serving ourselves, our power is limited and we don’t know what our power is. But when we serve the greater good we live our true purpose. Miracles happen when we serve others. It was through serving and helping someone else (although a figment of his imagination) that Yossi was able to keep going and survive.
The world is suffering today because there are many leaders who are serving themselves only. The current global situation is present right now because of people who are serving themselves only. If only they understood the Laws of the Jungle, everything is interconnected so when you serve something else you are serving yourself as well. True leaders serve others and in doing so survive and thrive. This is abundant thinking. There is enough for all and like Zig Ziglar said ’When you help enough people get what they want in life, you’ll get what you want.’
What are you doing to serve others? How are you helping to show somebody the way and encourage them to live a better life? No matter who you are or what is happening for you right now, there is always someone doing it worse. When you are in your darkest hour reach out to the lady crying in the dark and help her find her way home first and then you will surely find yours.
(Look out for the 5th and final lesson tomorrow. Learning this from Yossi was when the veil of darkness was lifted from my eyes and I understood life. It’s my favorite and most profound lesson and the most defining moment of my life. Get this and life will be sweet for you!)

How to Thrive in Today’s Ecomony. Lesson 3: Chase your Fears and Find Your True Power
So far we have learned through Yossi’s jungle experience that change is the nature of life and adaptation to change is the essence of survival. We have also learned that there is unlimited abundance for all on our planet and the best way to share in that is by cooperating and creating your own niche to express your unique talents.
(Due to the depth of content, these lessons will be presented over several blog posts each day)
Lesson 3: Chase Your Fears
Yossi Ghinsberg knows what it’s like to chase your fears. He was confronted with them daily in the jungle. Being lost, having to find food, water, shelter and dealing with the abundant wildlife. At one stage of his journey after not having eaten for days he came across a plum on a rock. It was the most delicious thing he had ever eaten. He looked up and saw more of them on the tree. He obviously wanted more and so climbed the tree to pick some. However he soon found himself face to face with one of the most dangerous snakes in the jungle. It’s bite would leave you dead in a minute.
Yossi in an instant had to decide to run from his fears out of that tree forever or to not just face his fears but to chase them. He chose to chase them. He jumped down from the tree, grabbed a tree branch, jumped back in the tree, swung and hit the snake out of the tree, jumped back down and smashed it’s back, killing it. He then picked up the snake peeled off it’s skin and ate it.
In that moment he felt immense power, he felt truly alive. He felt life pulsating through his body and he knew that within him existed an incredible power. He knew that the power was there all the time and by chasing his fears and living fully in the moment he could use that power to deal with any situtaion no matter how harrowing. In that moment of fear chasing, Yossi’s life changed, it had new meaning and he understood inherently more about surviving and thriving.
He could have ran from the snake, from the fear. If he had of he would never have come to this realization. He never would have experienced the true power and essence of life and he probably never would have survived. Yossi discovered that ‘If you walk towards your fear, you are alive. It is so liberating. Thank the fear as it shows you the way.’
How many times have you not done something because you have been afraid? What have you missed out on because of it? As Franklin D. Roosevelt said ‘The only thing to fear is fear itself.’ What fears are you running from today? Are you afraid of losing your job or house? Are you afraid of not having enough money for your retirement? Are you afraid to take on a new business opportunity because you might fail? Stop, turn around and chase them back. You’ll wonder what you were truly afraid of. You’ll discover a better life if you do.
Turn fear into a friend, use it as a guide. When you walk towards it, the fear melts away. You will find true power within yourself and be liberated. If you turn from it you make the fear real, it will become a shadow and chase you forever.
